Besides all the theme parks & resturants with fresh seafood, head out to the back of GC to Hinterlands where you gets local foods, great stays & plenty of waterfall's in rain forests as well as horse riding & wellbeing places. And don't always head down the motorway, there are many back roads that are better in peak hours (Palm Beach is renowed for traffic jam's on M1). Visit the man on the bike, get'fresh grown and made herbal products from "The Herbal Gardener", visit mudbrick cottage for unusual herbs to grow. Nerang has horse riding in the valley. Afternoon tea at 'Bonappetea' or "Videre Restaurant High Tea" Benowa. And the famous "Harbour Town" where you get to buy top label clothes, shoe's, bedding, kitchenware, bags etc being an discount outlet (I love Peter Alexanders PJ's), Biggera Waters. And for the 2nd hand/recycle hit the "Tip Shop" for amazing bargain's, you will find grandmar's cookbooks & classwears to latest furniture, office supplies, stationary, plants, pots, house renovation item's some items brand new from shops that have closed...

The Gold Coast is just beautiful, relaxed & friendly.
The Gold Coast is just beautiful, relaxed & friendly.
We stayed at The Iconic in Kirra Beach, which was super handy for the FISHER concert at Coolangatta - KIWI'S Love FISHER!
The food at Siblings was not just good, it was outstanding! It is a culinary experience not to be missed.
The love Street Cafe - the line out the door is worth the wait - the food is wholesome and delicious!
We visited the Pacific Fair - well laid out, with great shops & excellent food.
Burleigh Pavilion is not just a place to drink and eat, it's a vibrant hub where you can mingle while overlooking the surf-break.
Kira & Kira Furniture Store in Burleigh Heads is the store to be noticed. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the stock quality is fabulous, including the one-off pieces and unique artwork. They have a design team to help with the complete set-up of your home and more!

My family and I loved everything about the stay! From the apartment itself to the owners Michael and his partner! They were really friendly and helpful. Even helped us to book the tickets to the theme parks and transport. They also gave a lot of tips and advises on the places to visit. Really glad that we booked the apartment too as they even offered us an extra night so that we won't have to move to a hotel on our last night. Really loved the experience and will definitely be back the next time we visit Gold Coast!
The breakfast was amazing as you could have a buffet breakfast on the 77th floor of the Skypoint Lookout. Even cheaper if you have a Seniors card. The view was great from the apartment and well set up kitchen. The best part was that you could leave your car in the garage as shops, restaurants and the beach were all within walking distance. Or you could just stay at the hotel, what with 3 swimming pools to choose from and a spa, as well as a burger restaurant right next to the pool. The Lifts were also fast.
Stayed in the sub penthouse on the 55th floor with awesome views of the ocean and surrounding Gold Coast. Great size apartment with open plan living. First time to the Q1 and will be going back for another stay. Don't know what the other apartments are like, but I can only judge the one I stayed at.
The staff were very helpful and friendly with a smile and great manners. Would definitely recommend the Q1 for a holiday stop over anytime. Mostly 5 star but the beds are a bit hard, but the rest was great.
The view from the room was fabulous. We could see the beach plus the gold coast water ways. The room was very large and exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, we only needed the room for one night as it was a last minute booking due to our plans at the time. Will definitely come back with family and friends next time, hopefully for longer. The room has everything a family needs and was extremely clean. Loved it! Location was great. We could walk everywhere and did not need our vehicle.
Location was good, about a 5 minute walk to the Florida Gardens tram stop (chose not to hire a car for the trip). Visited for the Gold Coast Marathon weekend so the spa bath in the room was handy after the marathon. Close to shared walking/e-bike/bike path junction near the Langham Hotel which made walking up to Surfers Paradise or down to Broadbeach easy. Property kept me informed with check-in and check-out information via text.
The room is spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a huge shopping center across the road. It is very convenient to do shopping for food and all kinds of products. There is also a nice food court there with good varieties. It is very nice to do some cooking for a family's stay. The public transportation is very convenient. The terminal for bus to the airport and light rail is in front of the hotel.
The hotel was the perfect choice for us. Location was right at the center of Gold Coast. We traveled as a group of 4 adults & 1 child and the apartment had more than enough room for us. I love the open living, dining & kitchen area that opens up to the huge balcony. Amenities were also great and the staff were very friendly & approachable. There's also available parking at the basement.
The views were outstanding -ocean view from every window -
The Shower was good and hot -
Hotel was good friendly staff - I would def stay there again - right on the tram line - Close to Cavill ave for all the activities and restaurants the night markets - it felt safe - the facilities were good - don’t expect a 5 star luxury hotel - it’s good family appart well

Our stay this time, we were put into a room better suited to the size of our family. It was spacious, clean and functional.
The staff were always so happy and helpful.
The position of this hotel gives you so many dining options in and around Surfer Paradise. There is always something to do also.
This is our number 1 pick when we stay at the Gold Coast.
Incredible value for money. The hotel is in the perfect location in Broadbeach and the apartments are spacious, clean and comfortable! We had a wonderful view and everything was in walking distance including the casino and pacific fair shopping centre. We stayed during our honeymoon! Will definitely stay here again!
The view was great. Facilities at the property are fantastic. A wonderful garden, tennis courts, bbqs, pool area, playground allowed us to enjoy time with extended family, The property is directly on the beach and easy walking access to Surfers Paradise and a little further to Broadbeach.
First class, the 2 bedroom spa room was very spacious and clean with wonderful modern decor!
The facilities were great and the staff were so friendly. The Q1 is now 100% my new ‘go to’ hotel on the Gold Coast - just AMAZING!!!
It was spacious and the views were spectacular. Perfect location. The tram stop was so close it was just best to get around, as it was cheap to travel with. The aircon helped and it was handy to have the washing machine.
The location of hotel is excellent.
Parking is easy and relatively cheap in the Paradise Centre.
The swimming pool, spa and gym is nice. The multipurpose sport court is spot on.
This place was higher class house near a park and cafe and just down the road from the train station and mall which ended up being cheap Ubers, convenient for us.
